Just want to bring you up to date with news from the recent AGM and Coaches meeting.
At the Annual General Meeting, the following people were elected to governing positions.

Please note that Ian Dallas is the acting chairperson until a new chairperson is elected at the first Executive meeting. Also welcome to the new members on the Executive in Trevor Couchman and Ben Van Berkel.
In other news, the Executive have reviewed three areas of concern that came out of the end of year survey. Those three areas were Standards and Promotions, Coaching, and Appointments. We asked the following people to review these areas and to come up with recommendations.
- Standards and Promotions – Stan Wright
- Coaching – Garratt Williamson
- Appointments – Dennis Sharman
The Executive have been given those reviews and they are currenly discussing them. One of the last things that the outgoing Executive wanted to implement was to change the name of the old Standards and Promotions committee to better align it with its function. It has been decided to called this committee Selection and Assessments Committee. Following on from this and a subsequent selection process, the following people have been appointed to the committee
- Ian Dallas
- Brent Murray
- Steve Powell
Further information about this committee will be made available in the near future.
The following two people have been approved by the Executive to represent the WRRA on the following organisations
- Wellington Secondary Schools Rugby – Scott MacLean
- Wellington Rugby Football Union – Mark Fairmaid
On Monday night, the coaches met and the following level managers were appointed

I hope you all are staying well and keeping COVID free. WRFU Club Rugby is due to kick on the Saturday 2 April. I know that some clubs are struggling to hold trainings and pre season games which is making it difficult for them to prepare for the upcoming season.
