The Wellington Rugby Referees Association use Who’s The Ref (WTR) as our official referee management system. Below are a list of guides to use Who's the Ref. By using Who’s The Ref, we ensure a smooth, fair, and efficient referee appointment process.
Who's the Ref is accessible via the Web Site https://www.whostheref.com/ or on your phone or tablet using the WhosTheRef app on the Apple Store or Google Play Store

To check your referee appointments, follow these simple steps:

Alternatively, you can log in via the WTR mobile app.
Login to Your Account
Enter your Username (email) and Password.
If you are a new referee, you will receive your login details from the WRRA Appointments Team. If you have not received one contact them by email.
If you’ve forgotten your password, click “Forgot Password?” to reset it.

You will not receive appointments until you mark yourself as available in the Who's the Ref.
Login into the WTR website
Select the Contact Availability menu option on the left.
Select the specific Month you wish to set your availability and click Find. Get into the habit of reviewing and setting your availability every month.
Within the calendar view click on the days you are available specifying whether it is all day or AM, PM or the evening.
Optionally you can click on the Notepad Icon in the Action column to
perform bulk set options
specify what regions you are available, e.g. only in Wellington City
and notes about availability, e.g. I coach the Poneke Juniors so are only available from 1pm. Or, I can only AR this week.

Setting your contact details in Who’s The Ref (WTR) is essential so other WTR users can contact regards appointments (e.g. when you are a Assistant Referee).
Login into the WTR website
Select the Contacts menu option on the left.
Enter your name in the 'Contact Name' field and click Find.
From the displayed list select yourself.
Review the contact details and update by clicking on the notepad icon.
You will be emailed your Appointments. From the email you will be able to directly accept or decline the appointment.
Alternatively login into the WTR website
Select the Appointments menu option on the left.
Select the Data range for your appointments. Tip: hovering the arrow over the 'Clear' text on the 'From Date' will provide convenient date ranges to select from. Click on Find.
From the Appointments select the one in question.
If you are unavailable, click “Decline” and provide a reason.
If you originally accepted an appointment from email and then need to decline it then you will need to login into the website as described above.
If you need to request a swap, contact the Appointments Officer as soon as possible.
All Yellow and Red Card reports are to be submitted via Who's the Ref. These reports must be completed within 48 hours of the match.
Login into the WTR website
Select the Fixtures menu option on the left. Tip: you can not complete reports from the Appointments menu.
Find the fixture you were appointed to and wish to complete a yellow or red card report.
Click on the + sign next to the report icon shown in the red circle in the example below
This will display a Red and Yellow Card Icon. Click on the + sign next to either to load the report form.
Complete the loaded form accurately providing as much detail as possible.
Once complete at the bottom of the form you can save a draft and return to make any changes or have it reviewed by your Referee Coach before saving the final version.
NOTE: Red Card Reports are not to be saved as final version until reviewed by WRRA Chairman and/or WRRA President. Inform either by email or phone that the draft version is complete and they will review before asking for you to save as final version.
