Registrations open for the 2025 Community Rugby season
It's time to REGISTER for the 2025 community rugby season. Registrations are now open for players, coaches, referees and volunteers.
Before you can register, you will need to set up your rugby profile on Rugby Xplorer (RX). This new platform for rugby in NZ is a smart way to connect with your rugby community, giving you access to new features that have been created for you.
You only need to set up a profile once, and then you can easily register every year. We recommend parents to set up profiles for their children, only once they have created their own one. Then, parents can easily act on their behalf.
Setting up a profile is simple. Use the email address provided when you registered with your club/association as you will need it to verify your profile. Once your profile is created, look out for messages from your Club, School or RRA on when their registrations open.

Referee when and where it suits you. While there are some initial guidelines when you're starting out, over time you’ll have more say in when and where you referee.
You don’t have to commit every weekend. Many of our referees are involved every second or third weekend — our online system, WhosTheRef.com, makes it easy to manage your availability.
Opportunities to travel. Each year, referees have the chance to officiate in other parts of New Zealand as part of our interchange programme.
The best seat in the house. There’s no better way to experience every tackle, ruck, maul, and try.

WRRA 2025 Subscriptions
The following are the WRRA membership rates for the 2025 year.
Early bird discounted rate if paid before 30th April 2025.
Full Membership: NZ$80 (Early bird NZ$60)
Student Membership: NZ$60 (Early bird NZ$40)
First year Membership: NZ$30
Honorary Membership: NZ$15
Transferee Membership: NZ$60 (NZ$80 if not paid within 4 weeks)
(Applies to a Referee transferring from another Association after 30/04/25)
65+ Senior Discount : 50% of the fees above
Subscriptions can be paid by Internet Banking or directly to our Treasurer. If the Treasurer is not present at a Monday night meeting, Ian Dallas should be able to accept your subscriptions payment and issue you with a receipt.
